August 23, 2025 – As the new school year begins, the South Sudan School Access Campaign (SSSAC) is making strides in transforming lives by enabling children in South Sudan to attend school, breaking the cycle of poverty through education.

In South Sudan, where many children and adults lack basic literacy skills, access to education remains a distant dream for countless families. Financial constraints and the absence of nearby schools often prevent children from receiving an education. However, thanks to the generous support of donors, SSSAC is changing this reality, one child at a time.

Among the beneficiaries is Sabila, a bright and talkative young girl from South Sudan. With a smile that lights up the room, she shared her excitement: “I am happy that they are teaching us how to write, because I can go home and show my family everything I have learned. I even made new friends here!” Sabila’s story is a testament to the transformative power of education, which not only equips children with skills but also fosters hope, community, and opportunity.

SSSAC’s efforts focus on providing resources, building schools, and ensuring that children, regardless of their family’s financial situation, can access quality education. Supporters of the campaign are helping to create a brighter future for South Sudan’s youth, empowering them to dream big and achieve their potential.

As the school year kicks off, SSSAC extends heartfelt gratitude to its donors and calls for continued support to expand its reach. Together, we can ensure that more children like Sabila have the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.
